Carillon
Project Details
A Richmond landmark, the Carillon War Memorial plaza roof was replaced with a hot rubberized asphalt waterproofing and pedestal paver system. The plaza deck is over the first floor, which houses a beautiful event space with vaulted plaster ceilings. The scope of our work included tear-off of the existing EPDM membrane, creating all new roof drains, and moving each stone step from the staircases with a crane in order to waterproof underneath of them.
The Carillon was dedicated in 1932 to fallen World War I veterans. Towering at 240 feet, it features 53 bronze bells that are still played to this day.
